#### About the Role:

At Extend, the People team partners closely with our business and strategically collaborates with our people to enable everyone’s best work. We believe great People teams don't create process for process' sake, they build scalable systems, coach leaders through complexity, and create an environment where high-performing teams can thrive.

We're looking for a People Transformation Specialist to join our team and bring a builder's mindset and analytic rigor to how the People function runs. This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who looks across our People processes end-to-end, spots where they create friction or fail to scale, and rebuilds them to be simpler, faster, and more consistent—all while leveraging AI wherever it can do the heavy lifting. You will get to see your plans move into action and help drive strategy aligned with improving our employee experience. One day you may be redesigning our onboarding process from the ground up; the next you could be building an AI-powered workflow that saves the team hours each week or digging into attrition trends to inform a talent decision.

A core part of the role is driving AI adoption: beyond applying AI within the People team, you'll help shape Extend's broader AI strategy, partnering with teams across the company to bring consistency and adoption to how we use AI day to day. In this position, you'll drive many of our core People processes and metrics while serving as a trusted analytic and process partner to leaders across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, solving ambiguous problems, and turning both process gaps and messy data into clear, actionable improvements.

#### What You'll Be Doing:

Leverage AI to Optimize People Processes

  • Identify where AI can meaningfully improve how the People team works. Evaluate and pilot AI tools, balancing speed of adoption with data privacy and quality, then roll out solutions at scale.
  • Audit our core People processes end-to-end (onboarding, performance management, compensation cycles, offboarding, and more) to find friction points and gaps, then redesign and document them to be simpler, consistent, and built to scale.
  • Partner with PeopleOps and functional leaders to roll out process optimizations and drive adoption.
  • Help drive Extend's company-wide AI strategy, partnering with teams across the business to support consistent, effective AI adoption. Train and support People team members and managers in using AI tools effectively as part of their everyday work.

Develop People Insights

  • Own the accuracy and reporting of core People metrics (headcount, attrition, hiring, engagement), maintaining data integrity across the HRIS and other People systems.
  • Build dashboards and board/leadership-ready reports that give real-time visibility into workforce trends, support workforce planning and headcount forecasting, and identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and expand self-service insights for managers.
  • Design and administer employee surveys, conduct ad hoc analyses (attrition drivers, hiring funnel efficiency, org structure), and develop compensation / promotion / calibration analyses to support pay equity and talent decisions.
  • Ensure People data practices comply with privacy regulations and internal data governance standards.

Contribute to the People Team overall

  • We’re a startup, so you’ll jump into a variety of projects as needed and have a chance to learn about all things People. We're a small, hardworking, collaborative team that values ownership and impact over titles.

#### What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, ideally in HR transformation, people analytics, or a related operational/analytical role, ideally within a high-growth technology or consulting company.
  • Experience optimizing operational processes.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Glean, Claude Cowork, Claude Code, and Gemini to improve workflows and user experience, with the ability to drive adoption across teams that vary in technical comfort.
  • Strong skill in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel/Google Sheet, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of core People metrics, including headcount, attrition, time-to-fill, and engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous approach to data accuracy and quality.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and prioritizing across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Sound judgment around data privacy and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and hands-on approach with a willingness to roll up your sleeves.
  • Experience partnering with HRBPs, Recruiting, and People Operations teams is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Expected Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000\*

\* The target base salary range for this position is listed above. Individual salaries are determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
