About the Team
The DoorDash Global Sourcing team operates across three brands: DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt, and more than 40 markets, as part of the broader Global Procurement, Sourcing, Travel and Supply Chain organization. Its mandate is to build a world class global sourcing capability that captures enterprise synergies through aligned category strategies and delivers measurable value creation beyond savings, including business enablement, risk reduction, and stronger commercial outcomes.
Global Sourcing is organized around three category towers: Technology, Corporate Services, and Marketing. The team focuses on increasing category maturity through disciplined strategy, governance, and supplier management, while harnessing suppliers as a source of innovation, resilience, and competitive advantage. The team is in the middle of a multiyear transformation of its operating model, tooling, and ways of working.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Global Strategic Sourcing, this role is a strategic and operational partner and a force multiplier across strategy, execution, and communication. You will steward the long term category wave plan, run transformation program management and the operating rhythm, carry the sourcing narrative, lead high visibility special projects, and help keep the team healthy and engaged. The role amplifies the team and enables the Category Leads. This is a role for a sharp, low ego operator who can move fluidly between shaping thinking and getting the details right, and who leads through influence rather than authority.
What You Will Do
Steward the long term category wave planning
- Assemble and maintain the multiyear category wave plan, sequencing sourcing initiatives across the Technology, Corporate Services, and Marketing towers, and across the DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt brands, translating agreed category strategies into one coordinated plan.
- Partner with Category Leads to keep the plan realistic, resourced, and current as business priorities shift across more than 40 markets, while the Category Leads retain ownership of their category strategies.
- Track progress against the plan, surface risks, dependencies, and resourcing conflicts early, and frame the tradeoff decisions needed to keep waves on track.
- Connect the wave plan to value creation targets beyond savings, including business enablement, risk reduction, and category maturity.
Carry the Sourcing narrative and communications
- Craft and steward the narrative for the Global Sourcing team, turning strategy and results into clear, compelling stories for leadership, stakeholders, and the wider team.
- Draft executive communications, leadership updates, business review materials, and all hands content for review and approval.
- Ensure consistent messaging across brands and stakeholder groups, tailoring communications for individual contributors, executives, and, where relevant, external partners.
- Own communications for transformation initiatives, making sure changes are explained clearly and land well with the teams they affect.
Drive transformation program management
- Run program management for the sourcing transformation, including milestone planning, dependency and risk management, and benefits tracking across all workstreams.
- Coordinate delivery with the Procurement Center of Excellence, the category towers, and cross functional partners in Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Operations.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes on people, processes, systems, and stakeholders, and recommend the revisions needed to plans, processes, and ways of working.
- Keep the transformation roadmap and supporting documentation current as scope and priorities evolve, and drive decisions and follow through to closure.
Liaise internally and externally
- Act as a point of coordination between the Global Sourcing organization and cross functional partners across all three brands.
- Support relationships and communication with relevant external partners
Lead special projects
- Own ambiguous, high priority projects that do not fit neatly into any one category tower or brand, scoping the problem, building the plan, and driving to outcomes.
- Assemble and lead working groups across functions, holding contributors accountable to milestones without direct reporting authority.
- Prepare leadership and business review materials and recommendations grounded in data.
Support team health and engagement
- Keep the team connected and support team health across a distributed, multi brand team through rituals, offsites, recognition, and shared moments.
- Guide new joiners as they settle in and get up to speed.
Run the operating rhythm
- Design and run the operating cadence of the Sourcing leadership team, including staff meetings, business reviews, planning cycles, and goal tracking.
- Set agendas, capture decisions and action items, and follow through to closure.
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of experience, with a background in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, management consulting, or a related field.
- Strong project and program management skills, with a track record of driving complex, cross functional initiatives from ambiguity to measurable outcomes.
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to synthesize input from many stakeholders into a clear point of view.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, able to tailor a message for an individual contributor, an executive, or an external partner.
- High EQ and strong relationship building skills, comfortable influencing and leading through others without formal authority.
- Analytical and structured, fluent in working with data to frame decisions and tell a story.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities across brands and markets in a fast moving environment.
- Discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting a senior leader in a PMO, business operations, or comparable role.
- Exposure to procurement or sourcing transformation, category management, or supplier negotiations.
- Experience operating across multiple brands, regions, or markets in a high growth technology, marketplace, or logistics company.
We expect this position to be filled by 10/19/26.
