Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.
HR Analytics at Tenstorrent touches nearly every part of how we hire, plan, and support our business, and the foundation under it is still being built. This role owns the core building blocks: turning raw HR data into trusted reporting, scalable analytics products, and actionable insights that help leaders make real decisions. You will spend a meaningful portion of your first year building out our BI tooling environment, improving source-data quality across systems, and forming strong partnerships—from LLM query interfaces to custom web pages. Above all, you’ll be the teaching-style partner that HRBPs, recruiters, and executives turn to when they need data they can actually trust and act on.
This role is hybrid, based out of Santa Clara, CA, Austin, TX, or Toronto, ON.
We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.
Who You Are
- You’re likely 4 to 6 years into your HR or people analytics journey and ready to take full ownership. You prefer laying the foundation and shaping how data gets used over maintaining someone else's legacy setup.
- You can translate complex technical details into plain, natural language, helping non-technical partners build their own data confidence over time.
- You’re excited about where data delivery is going. You see standard dashboards as just one tool in the toolkit, and you're eager to build modern data products—whether that means a Tableau dashboard, a conversational AI query interface, or a lightweight custom web page with tailored analytics.
- You care about clean data. You’d rather spend the time fixing messy HRIS or ATS logic upstream than constantly patching broken numbers in spreadsheets downstream.
What We Need
- Hands-on SQL skills for pulling and shaping data, paired with familiarity with HR data structures (HRIS, ATS) and spreadsheet modeling in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proven Tableau experience, with a track record of creating intuitive dashboards that stakeholders actually use and adopt.
- Excitement to build modern data products—delivering insights through traditional BI, conversational AI interfaces (LLM chat-to-data tools), and simple web pages.
- Bonus points for: Modern data stack exposure (dbt, Snowflake, GitHub), lightweight web/scripting skills (Python, Apps Script, HTML/CSS), or workforce planning experience.
What You Will Learn
- How to design and launch flexible data products using a mix of traditional BI, conversational AI tools, and tailored web pages.
- How to resolve complex HR data logic at the source and build governance that scales as the company grows.
- Where the real strategic leverage sits in a fast-scaling hardware company, touching every aspect of how we hire, plan, and support the business.
