Job Posting: Okta Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Okta Engineer to act as a subject matter expert and
lead the architectural design of our most complex IAM solutions. This is a leadership
opportunity for a dedicated expert to drive innovation, mentor team members, and deliver
best-in-class identity solutions for our enterprise clients.
Your Impact
• Lead the architectural design and implementation of sophisticated, large-scale IAM
solutions for enterprise clients, with a focus on security, scalability, and user
experience.
• Serve as the go-to expert for the Okta platform, including advanced features like
Identity Governance, Inline Hooks, and complex, custom Workflows.
• Drive the strategy for client IAM roadmaps, providing expert guidance and thought
leadership.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Lead client workshops and meetings to understand critical business needs, and design
and present IAM solutions that meet those needs.
• Articulate and present complex architectural concepts effectively to technical, non-
technical, and executive audiences.
• Additional experience providing admin support for: Slack, Microsoft 365.
Your Experience
• 7+ years of extensive experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) with deep
specialization and expertise in the OKTA platform.
• A proven track record of designing and developing complex, large-scale IAM solutions
for enterprise clients.
• Expert-level understanding of cloud-based authentication and authorization protocols,
including OAuth and OpenID Connect.
• Strong proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C#, and JavaScript, and
experience building custom integrations.
• Deep, hands-on experience with implementing OKTA Identity Governance capabilities.
• Extensive experience with SCIM integration and leveraging OKTA as a comprehensive
Identity Management platform.
• Expertise in developing and deploying Okta Inline Hooks and complex, custom
Workflows.
• Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to
lead client engagements and present to executive audiences.
Nice to Haves
• Advanced technical certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Consultant).
• Experience leading large-scale IAM migration projects.
• Published articles, conference presentations, or other contributions to the IAM
community.
• A strong orientation to be results- and data-driven.
