Director of Early Childhood & Aftercare (NE)--Archbishop Borders School, Baltimore MD

Job description

Archbishop Borders School, located in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Director of Early Childhood & Aftercare. The Director should have management experience and experience working with young children. In addition, he/she will be responsible for the direct supervision of students in the program, as well as overseeing staff. Please note that this is a 12-month position.

Essential Functions

• Supervise the daily operations of the Extended Care Program.
• Supervise aides in planning appropriate social, physical, and creative activities for the students.
• Provide a safe and clean environment for the students.
• Record daily student attendance.
• Record daily payments and post to the accounts receivable system.
• Work with the Business Office on monthly billing.
• Communicate daily with Extended Care Program parents regarding concerns or issues, schedule changes, and general administrative matters.
• Supervision of day care staff members.
• Communicate all significant concerns and issues to the school administration.
• Comply with all regulations of the State Letter of Compliance.
• Complete all paperwork required to update and maintain the State Letter of Compliance.

Position Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field preferred.
• MSDE childcare credentialing or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid and CPR certified.
• Excellent references.

Pay Rate: $48,000, Annualized
