Job description

Monsignor Slade Catholic School, located in Glen Burnie, MD, is seeking a full-time substitute teacher for our PreK2, PreK3, and PreK4 classrooms at our Edu-Care Center. This is a 10-month position with the option for summer hours and includes eligibility for benefits. Qualified candidates will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a nurturing approach to teaching, and a deep commitment to the social and academic development of young children.

Essential Functions

• Actively supervise students at all times.
• Provide instruction to students based on lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Communicate with parents in a clear, professional, and timely manner.
• Support the mission of the school and the Catholic Church through instructional practices and daily interactions.

Position Qualifications

• Successful completion of 6 semester hours, 90 clock hours, or the equivalent of approved pre-service training, or possession of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children in a child care center or school setting.
• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and work effectively as a team player

Pay Range: $17.00 - $20.00, Hourly ($28,560 - $33,600, Annualized)
