Director, Managed Care Contracting

Job description

This position leads Augusta Health’s payer contracting strategy across hospital, physician, and ancillary services. This role oversees the full contract lifecycle, including strategy, financial modeling, negotiations, implementation, and performance monitoring to optimize revenue and support the health system’s long-term sustainability. The Director serves as the lead negotiator with commercial and Medicare Advantage payers, manages relationships with external consultants, and directs contracting for Augusta Health’s self-insured employee health plan. Working closely with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Population Health, and operational leaders, the Director evaluates market trends, value-based care opportunities, and contract performance to ensure favorable financial and operational outcomes.
