Sterile Processing Educator

Job description

Responsible for maintaining standards related to the decontamination and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation used in patient care throughout the organization. Ensures that all surgical instruments and hospital equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed promptly throughout the hospital. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties. Serves as a resource educator & role model for the staff.
