Job Description
The IT Onsite Support Technician serves as the primary onsite point of contact for technical support, ensuring efficient resolution of IT issues and maintaining end-user productivity. This role provides hands-on troubleshooting, hardware/software support, and IT service delivery for internal customers.
- Manage onsite support tickets and remote technical support
- Respond to technical issues via phone, email, chat & on-site support
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
- Determining the best solution based on the issue and escalating issues to the next Tier with next level of difficulty as needed
- Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
- Monitor site to proactively identify and resolve issues
- Support overall IT initiatives for migrations, patches and updates, as assigned
Qualifications
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer technical issues
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts with minimal notice
- Detail oriented
- Analytical/Critical thinking
- Highly organized
- 2+ years of experience working in a help desk or onsite support environment
- The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 2 years of IT support experience working in a help desk or onsite support environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or CCNA preferred
- Experience with Azure, PowerShell, or monitoring tools preferred
