Bish Enterprises is seeking a hands-on, performance-driven Sales Team Manager to lead and strengthen our sales organization. This role is designed for a leader who is comfortable managing KPIs, coaching salespeople, improving CRM and follow-up discipline, and remaining directly involved in customer acquisition and sales execution.

As a Sales Manager, you will lead our small but dedicated sales team, drive customer acquisition, increase revenue growth, and oversee direct sales efforts. Collaborating with upper management as well as our marketing team, you'll devise strategic sales and marketing plans, manage the marketing budget, and ensure our campaigns align with our brand identity. This role will be directly involved with the day-to-day sales, while simultaneously providing coaching, guidance, and accountability to our sales team members.

Your knack for analyzing the effectiveness of these strategies will be critical to optimizing our sales potential. As the primary contact for sales-related issues, we will rely on your proactive problem-solving skills. Join us as we continue to foster growth and success within the agricultural equipment sector.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in determining price schedules and discount rates
  • Assist in identifying issues with shipping through direct involvement to help provide clarity on invoices and increased efficiency, productivity, and safety within that department
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and budget expenditures
  • Collaborates effectively with others for the success of the department; promotes a free flow of information & ideas across departments
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates
  • Confer with department heads or staff to discuss topics such as contracts, selection of advertising media, or product to be advertised
  • Confer with organizational members to accomplish work activities
  • Coordinate and/or manage sales activities
  • Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen
  • Documenting/Recording Information (Maintain operational records, Prepare forms or applications)
  • Ensures all customers, internal and external, are kept informed of issues.
  • Exhibits a positive attitude. Promotes superior customer service.
  • Follows all proper communication channels with invoice process, with thorough communication and positive internal and external customer relations
  • Manage and provide leadership to the sales team
  • Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts
  • Oversee sales staff
  • Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and service programs (if applicable)
  • Plan and prepare advertising and promotional material to increase sales of products or services, working with customers, company officials, sales departments, and advertising agencies
  • Plan, present, and/or facilitate sales presentations and meetings
  • Provide presentation and product demonstration support during the introduction of new products and services to customers
  • Provide up-to-date and accurate information on sales numbers (Current, Goal, Trend, etc.)
  • Provides problem/issue resolution for customers and other sales personnel to ensure optimal positive customer service.
  • Read trade journals and professional literature to stay informed on trends, innovations, and changes that affect media planning
  • Reports to CEO/COO and/or Customer when additional items are required, preventing possible customer dissatisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote products (as needed)
  • Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Review operational records and reports to project sales and determine profitability

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience, preferably in B2B, equipment, automotive, industrial, agricultural, technical products, or another performance-driven sales environment. Candidates with exceptional commercial leadership experience may be considered with fewer years of direct sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, or managing salespeople or another strongly performance-driven team.
  • Proven ability to work toward and manage measurable KPIs, sales goals, customer acquisition targets, revenue objectives, and individual/team accountability.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline and maintaining disciplined CRM documentation, follow-up, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach employees, address underperformance, establish expectations, and drive improvement.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to build credibility with farmers, equipment operators, business owners, and technically knowledgeable customers.
  • Ability to manage customer opportunities from initial contact through follow-up, quoting, closing, and continued customer communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish processes and structure in a fast-moving environment where procedures may still be evolving.
  • Practical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, CRM software, and common business applications.
  • Strong business judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently while collaborating closely with ownership and other departments.
  • Comfortable learning specialized agricultural equipment and working directly with customers who may have significant practical farming and equipment knowledge.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Giltner, Nebraska. Candidates outside a reasonable commuting distance must be willing to relocate.
  • Must be available for the stated work schedule, including seasonal demands and 2–4 Saturdays per month.

Preferred

  • Agricultural equipment, farming, machinery, automotive dealership, industrial equipment, or technical B2B sales experience.
  • Experience setting or monitoring pricing, margins, discounts, sales forecasts, budgets, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated history of increasing sales revenue, improving sales-team performance, improving CRM/follow-up discipline, or building a stronger sales process.
  • Experience working in a small or family-owned business where leaders are expected to be both strategic and hands-on.

Additional Information

Job Type:

  • Full Time

Compensation:

  • Salaried Position at $55,000 / year + Commissions (Expected yearly earnings of $75,000 - $100,000 with commission targets)

Hours/Work Week:

  • 50+ hours
  • Hours will be mostly during these times:

o Monday - Friday

o Saturday (2-4 per month)

  • Customer Deadlines and Agriculture Seasonality may require additional availability
  • Working remotely will be required from time to time

Because agricultural equipment sales are seasonal and require time to understand our customers, products, and sales cycle, candidates should be prepared to commit to learning and working through at least one full annual sales cycle.
